The Curious Leaf Book 2: Voyage to the Sea

Happy Monday!

I hope you’re enjoying the journey so far. 🙂 Now that we’ve finished with the moon, it’s time to move on. But before we go, I just want to mention that I’ll be leaving The Voyage to the Moon up in the archives so you can come back and read whenever you’d like. I’ll also be releasing it soon on Amazon, et al. soon for $0.99 as a standalone. If you’d like to read it now with the convenience of your ereader/device, you can always hit the Send to Kindle button at the bottom of each post or read it and other moon related short stories in Moon Curiosities.

Today I’d like to announce the second book in *The Curious Leaf serial: Voyage to the Sea. We’ll leave the moon behind completely (for a time) and turn our faces toward the sea beginning Monday, September 7, 2015.

In the meantime, please continue to enjoy the other current serials:

The Faerie Thief: The Garden on Tuesdays

Mira Morganstein: The Pink Lemonade Club on Wednesdays

Secrets of the UnderWhere on the occasional Thursdays. (More on this in a bit.)

As we’re starting a new book, please feel free to leave any feedback you have. I’m constantly tweaking things so as to give you the best reading experience I can. How is the length for the weekly installment? Too long? Too short? Just right? Do you have any particular places you’d like the crew of The Curious Leaf to venture forth and explore?

*The Voyage to the Sea installment was originally published in Saltwater Curiosities, © 2014. All rights reserved.

I hope you’re enjoying the journey so far. The moon is one of my favorite storyscapes, and I’m sorry to leave it behind just as we were becoming acquainted. But never fear, we will return. Someday. In the meantime, please continue to enjoy the current serials Tuesday-Thursday. Journey forth, brave Wonder-kin, for the next adventure awaits!

If this is your first time visiting, check out the first installment of this voyage and swing by the library to read The Curious Leaf for free if this is the first time you’ve met Kya or Hearthorne.

Come back tomorrow to journey with Gwyn as she fights her way through the Garden in The Faerie Thief.

Happy Monday!

Mira Morganstein Queen of the Nearly Dead Fae Officially Launches

Welcome!

Every Wednesday we’ll be tagging along with Mira, Changeling, and a host of other Oddities as Mira explores her faerie gift–which happens to be the most awesome ever!

She’s in line to become a new faerie queen.

Of the Nearly Dead Fae.

* glares suspiciously at the zombie horde hiding in her closet *

No, not that kind. Zombies are a purely mortal invention. No, being a Queen of the Nearly Dead Fae doesn’t involve flamethrowers, holding back the faeries, or preventing said faeries from snacking on mortals.

Her job is much more important than that. It involves . . . well, you’ll see beginning on the 20th of May. Join Mira as she learns of her gift, travels to Faerie by Redacted, and attempts to find that tricky balance between choosing her own path and fate.

Mira’s story will be posted every Tuesday beginning on 20 May 2015. (barring the occasional dragon problem). If you’d like to keep up to date, subscribe to this blog (top, right column) and get the updates delivered to your in box.

The Faerie Thief Officially Launches

Welcome!

Beginning next Tuesday (19th of May), we’ll be traveling to the Garden in Faerie where a youngling named Gwyn lives under the iron *cough* thumb of the (faintly Wonderlandian) Ruby Queen.

Here, in the Garden, the flowers tell tales, magic is real, and the Ruby Queen seems determined to squash Gwyn like a bug beneath her heel.

But all is not as lost as it seems.

With the help of her secret friend and her fair weather cousin, Gwyn discovers a talent of her own that might very well provide the means of her escape.

If only she can figure it out before the Ruby Queen and Redacted join forces to keep her imprisoned in the garden forever.

Gwyn’s story will be posted every Tuesday beginning on 19 May 2015. (barring the occasional dragon problem). If you’d like to keep up to date, subscribe to this blog (top, right column) and get the updates delivered to your in box.

You can either click the “Come Aboard” link above or here to be taken to the main page. It’s a little bare now, but I’ll be keeping careful record once content is up (next week!). The look of The Curious Leaf page is likely to change in the future, but the content will be the same.

The-Curious-Leaf-An-Adventure-in-Wishing-Curiosities-0-KindleThe Curious Leaf will follow the adventures of Kya and Hearthorne (introduced in their first short story: The Curious Leaf: An Adventure in Wishing. If you’re subscribed to Scribed, you can read it for free. I will also be adding it to our library later this week, so you’ll be able to read it for free here.)

Their first voyage will be to the moon where they meet a very special creature (and sample the finest moon cheese) that sets off a chain of events that will guide their journey onward.

Details of their exploits will be posted every Monday beginning on 18 May 2015. (barring the occasional dragon problem). If you’d like to keep up to date, subscribe to this blog (top, right column) and get the updates delivered to your in box.
